Ideal Tropical Vacations To Escape The Harsh Winters Of Home

Hawaii is also world famous for its attractions that include beaches ideally suited for body surfing, picnicking with the family or escaping to a private, sun-kissed oasis. Places such as Big Island and Maui, Oahu and Kauai provide visitors with some of the best in beaches and conditions are suited for swimming, snorkeling, surfing, picnicking and more. Maui has over thirty miles of beaches; Big Island has a rugged coastline with green sand, black sand and salt-and-pepper sand beaches. Kauai has a density of beaches more than for any other Hawaiian island, and even Hollywood directors are well acquainted with these tropical splendors.

There are many which are ideally suited for escaping the harsh winters of home.  Indulge yourself in the warm rays of a winter vacation in the tropics, where it is possible to frolic on white sand beaches and swim the warm waters.

The Pacific’s more popular island of Fiji provides excellent tropical vacationing during the cold seasons in Europe and America as does the Seychelles that was once referred to as the site of the Garden of Eden by British General Charles Gordon. Here, there can be found pristine white sand beaches, turquoise waters and much exotic flora and fauna that will surely convince visitors that they are in a Garden of Eden.

Even Europe has a wonderful tropical vacation hotspot which is Tenerife in Spain’s Canary Islands. This “tropical haven”  has also been called Europe’s winter playground and the island of eternal spring. With nudist beaches, art and natural history museums and the Guimar Pyramids, this is indeed a fun place to visit for a tropical vacation.

Australia, too, provides some exciting places such as Fraser Island that is a stone’s throw from the Great Barrier Reef.  It is full of wildlife and  rainforests. It also has pristine beaches and is the world’s largest sand island where activities of interest include, wilderness safaris, rainforest treks, dolphin watching as well as camping and fishing.

With all these warm places to choose from, shouldn't you be sipping your favorite drink in the tropics?  Leave the cold of winter behind.  It's time for a tropical vacation getaway!

Winters have been very mild recently in the UK, but should it ever get round to actually getting cold again I think I will try to escape to Tenerife - it's a favourite of a lot of my friends, but I'm usually too busy going other places the rest of the year, and never make it out with them.

The one problem with winter travel in my opinion is that if you pick the wrong time, and it's too close to the Christmas or New Year period, you'll pay really high prices, and have to endure very busy airports, etc, with everyone travelling for the festive celebrations.
