Babymoon Vacation: The All-Important Pre-Baby Getaway

If a bride-and-groom to be can celebrate their new life together during a  honeymoon, how should a mom-and-dad to be celebrate the anticipated arrival of their "bundle of joy"?  They go on a babymoon!

A is a great way to spend special time together before the life changing event of becoming parents! Why is this necessary? Glad you asked.

Remember the pre-wedding jitters, stress and busy schedules you were both inundated with before the wedding?  You may be under similar stress and pressure from your routine activities which gave you little time to really enjoy this momentrous moment in your lives: the arrival of  you first baby.

Its just imperative that you reserve some time to focus on yourselves as well as the joys and challenges that may lie ahead as parents.  A vacation is  time is all about you, your spouse and soon-to-arrive baby— no work, no phones, no third persons!  Just the “three” of you!

So where should you go?  Well, the world is your backyard, so you can go anywhere you desire assuming your doctor permits.  But an extended trip to some far-flung corner of the world is not necessary.  Even weekend getaway vacations to a nearby destination, or a picnic on a secluded beack or lake, could  be rejuvenating for body, soul and spirit.

And finally,  when should you go?  This would depend on how much travel is involved.  For extensive travel you would want to check with your physician since you may not be allowed to travel after week 32.

The  Delaware news journal  offers ten great tips for a pre-baby getaway!  Take a moment to plan a babymoon now. You, your spouse and your baby deserve it.

I'd never heard of babymoon vacations, but I think they're a nice idea - you're going to need to relax at some point, and once the baby comes you're not going to have much time!

I think the best idea would be to either travel in luxury, or not go too far - a nearby spa or resort would probably be best. I've never had a child myself, but the mothers I know have all said that going anywhere in the later stages of pregnancy is very tiring.
