Mexico Vacations: What's All The Buzz About?

Mexico is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.  With a broad range of  world class activities and facilities available, there is sure to be something for every age range and interest under the sun.  Take for example the world-famous cliff divers of Acapulco or the exceptional snorkeling in Cabo San Lucas.  Or what about the ancient ruins and cultural treasures just waiting to be discovered in Mexico?

Acapulco attracts the rich and famous.  If you enjoy star gazing (human stars that is), then Acapulco is the place! Jet setters, movie stars, the wealthy and more clamor for all that is Acapulco. Get ready to enjoy the local bistros, talented mariachi bands and the best shopping available anywhere on the globe.  There are just a small taste of the many possibilities this cosmopolitan town offers.

And here is a special treat you will want to catch a glimpse of: The Los Flamingos Hotel.  Formerly owned by legend John Wayne, the Los Flamingos Hotel is a destination all to itself.   With regular celebrity sightings, many people visit the hotel just to people watch. But there is a lot more.  For a little more excitement  try a high-speed jaunt up the Papagayo River onboard a jet boat.   You may recognize this river since it was the setting for the blockbuster movie Rambo.

There is so much to do during Mexico vacations that you just wont be able to do it all on your first trip.  For the golf enthusiasts there is  world-class golf, for the eco lovers and bird lovers there is exceptional bird watching.  Those looking to enjoy a memorable  culinary travel experience should participate in cooking lessons from authentic Mexican chefs and develop the skills for preparing the delicious Mexican cuisine.  Will you actually have time after all of that to schedule in an intriguing

Unless your will last several weeks, you will barely be able to scratch the surface of what Mexico has to offer!  The good news is: you can always go back for more!

This sounds like the ideal movie fans vacation - stay somewhere with a John Wayne connection, play star-spotting in restaurants and the hotel, and get photos of yourself in areas that have been in movies :)

I'm suprised more people don't go to Mexico, although getting there from Europe is a little expensive.

I'd love to learn more about the ruins too, and Mexico in general really, I'm embarrased to admit I've always overlooked it as a destination.
