Weekend Getaway Vacations For Body, Mind, And Spirit
Have you ever felt really drained and exhausted? It may be time to plan a weekend getaway vacation. The daily stresses and pressures of life can take a toll on our bodies and minds. Sometimes, all we really need is a weekend getaway vacation to rejuvenate boidy , mind and spirit. Here are a few ideas worth considering.
Title: Weekend Getaway Ideas You Can Use
Author: Cindy Heller
The work week can be incredibly hectic and chaotic for most people. Weekends are often spent as time to recoup from the stress of the workweek, and as time for families to spend catching up with each other. Weekend trips can do wonders for a marriage and for family life. Some of the best weekend trips and getaways can be to someplace in your own city. Weekend breaks don't have to be complicated; they just have to be relaxing. It is a chance to connect with your loved ones while away from home and the everyday stresses that go along with being at home.
There are weeks that go by that some family just spent the whole
weekend at home. This may be great for some people, and they are
content to stay home and relax. But some people will pack up on
Friday night and return home on Sunday evening, refreshed and
renewed. I don't think it matters where your weekend trips take
you, as long as you are all together. For example, my parents
own a beach house two hours from my home. That allows for us to
take some well deserved weekend trips every so often. My family
and I strive to take at least one weekend a month for a family
getaway and every other month we'll add a weekend trip for just
the whole family.
Whether it happens to be an outing to the mountains or the
beach, it is quality time that you are spending together.
Weekend breaks in the summer can be anything you like. Camp out
at a local campground if you love the outdoors. Don't make it
too complicated, or you may return more worn out than when you
left. You can do things like fishing, hiking, boating, or just
enjoy nature. You don't have to travel very far from home to
enjoy being with your friends or family. Weekend breaks are what
you make of them, and when you go may be determined on what you
like to do to relax.
In the summer months, you have more options for this, but there
are weekend activities you can do in the winter as well. In the
winter months, you can go for skiing or snowboarding. Many ski
resorts offer specials for weekend breaks for the reason that
they recognize this is when most families can get away. In most
cases, you can rent everything you need right there at the
resort, and your accommodations are onsite or nearby. There may
come a time, however, when even that is not enough, and you want
to get away. Two days may not seem like a lot, but even short
weekend breaks can do your peace of mind a world of good.
There are times when you want to be out of your house but just
don't want to travel very far. One idea is to pick a fancy bed
and breakfast you've always admired and spend one or two nights
there. Keep it simple, and make sure you leave plenty of time to
just relax once you arrive. This will give you a chance to
forget about housework, or deadlines, and will allow you to
completely relax. This is something my family does at least once
a year to recharge our batteries.
Several times a year, if the finances allow, you can look into
some more remote weekend trips. You may want to jet off to Paris
for a romantic weekend, or you can look at a weekend cruise or
whirlwind trip to another city. Every once in a while, you just
may discover something that you've never noticed before. It's
even better if you discover that with your loved ones.
With the gas prices nowadays, local weekend trips make the most
sense. For romantic weekend breaks, you can consider a cozy bed
and breakfast in a nearby location. These tend to be a bit more
romantic than a hotel, and the personalized service may leave
you feeling pampered and relaxed. You don't have to worry about
anything because there is someone to cook and clean, and you
don't have to lift a finger. Sounds like heaven to me! You can
often find these in places you never considered, and chances are
there are some within an hour drive from your home that will do
the trick.

Life can be so stressful at times, and it's sad that most people can't afford to take time off to unwind. That's the beauty of weekend vacations… they are short, but they not only let you enjoy life and have fun, but they also help rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit for the week to come.
I think it's especially important for married couples to MAKE time for their marriage and get away every once in awhile. Maybe once a month, even if only for a day or two. It can truly make a difference and keep the relationship alive.

Have you ever thought of a Prague Sightseeing Tour it is the best a superb introduction to Prague. After being picked up from our Prague accommodation, we went on a fascinating journey through the history of Prague, an enchanting city with millions of monuments, (well a lot of monuments). We began on the coach, and went to the main historical areas in the centre of Prague: the New Town and Wenceslas Square, the Old Town and picturesque Mala Strana.
Next, we went for a fascinating walk through the Prague Castle complex to explore the major sights within; admire the grandeur of Saint Vitus Cathedral and its presbytery, the ancient architecture of the Old Royal Palace and the stunning views over the whole of Prague. Then from Prague Castle, we went down to the river to stroll across Charles Bridge and through the Old Town to reach the Old Town Square.
The tour finished in the Old Town, where we spent a night of indulgence of food and drink. I've been there 3 times now. Oh for you crystal lovers they have the most equisite collections.

Weekend breaks are great when you are able to take them. Unfortunately, very few interesting destinations are accesible from my local airport, so it is virtually a 'weekend away' getting to an airport that flys somewhere I want to go.
My friends, who have cars, fly off all the time to places like Stockholm, Prague, and Copenhagen - they love being able to say '12 weeks to my next holiday!' as soon as they get back from the last one.

Getting away for the weekend, is something that more and more people should start doing, especially because there is becoming less and less time for vacations these days. Unless you want to take the vacation which many people will not simply because they are more interested in working or not spending time with family. Anyhow if they were to get away for even a weekend they would feel refreshed and have gained new insight that would make them work better and feel better in general.
You do not even have to go very far away. I would recommend at least going to another city that is not within 10 miles of your current home. Taking your family or just you and your spouse can both have a nice impact on how relaxed you become.

I wish I could take weekend breaks more often. It is very tempting, especially with the incredible offers some of the low cost carriers have on at the moment.
I like to try and get away whenever I can - unfortunately the added costs of hotels, transport while you are there, etc, usually means it is cheaper to have one big holiday a year than several little ones.
That said, my local coach operator does packages that are fairly inexpensive. I might try one soon - I'm just not sure if I could face travelling around Europe on a coach.
