Golf Vacations in the Caribbean: Sun, Sea & Golf!

The Caribbean is one of the best destinations to consider if you are seeking sun, sand and sea as part of your holiday.  With its splendid beaches, luxurious resorts, and beautiful palm groves, the Caribbean is the ideal location to relax and unwind in.  The Caribbean offers much more though, and one thing often overlooked is golf resorts.
A Caribbean golf vacation is an ideal experience for everyone from passing fans of the sport to avid golfers.  You can relax to a game of golf during the cool of the early mornings or evenings, and enjoy the warmth of the afternoons on a white, sandy beach.  Add in the fine Caribbean cuisine and the wonderful nightlife, and you have the recipe for a perfect holiday.

Caribbean golf resorts are fast becoming all inclusive vacation spots as resort owners revamp and restructure them to suit golfers’ and non-golfers’ needs alike. Hence, like other golf resorts in the United States, most Caribbean golf resorts are endowed with amenities and features that anyone would enjoy. So, how to have an ideal vacation at the Caribbean Golf resorts?

If you will be vacationing alone, then it is quite simple to plan your own vacation, just work out what activities you would like to do, and find the ideal island for your stay.  If you will be traveling with a family, then the same principle applies, but it is often easier to seek the aid of a travel agent in this case, as they have a wider knowledge and will be able to point you to resorts that cater to the whole family.

Many of the golf resorts offer golfing lessons, so that beginners can enjoy the sport, and more experienced players can take the opportunity to hone their golfing skills.  If you want to get the most from your vacation, however, then don't spend the entire time on the golf course – remember to take in the sights and scenery, and enjoy the beaches and islands to the full, so that you have an unforgettable Caribbean vacation.

I'm something of a golf widow but I'll have to mention this next time he wants to go on another golf trip. Instead of being stuck in the hotel while he plays I could be by the beach or shopping. Although the lessons sounds like they could be good. He is always trying to get me to learn but I just don't see the point. It just looks like a lot of walking and swinging. Besides, I think it is good for him to have something to do without me. At least we won't get sick of each other.
