Hiking in the Dominican Republic is only advisable for experienced hikers. The trail ascends up to Pico Duarte, at 10,700 feet. The total route covers 12 miles over a period of two days, and, due to the steep climb is best avoided by beginners.
Explore Grenada
The Granada hiking trail is a gentle one suitable for hikers of all experience and fitness levels. There are a number of guided tours on offer that will take you through the rainforest's, or, if you wish, seek permission to go out on the trail alone. The Grand Etang Lake hiking trail is an inviting one that offers good views, without being too demanding or difficult to to navigate.
The Varied Views of Puerto Rico
The El Yunque Trail is located inside the boundaries of the Caribbean National Forest. It covers a 2 mile route, and takes hikers to a height of 3500 feet. The trail is moderate to extreme in difficulty, but is very rewarding, going through many types of forest, and offering views of the sea and mountains.

It would be a total dream come true to go hiking somewhere like the Dominican Republic but golly it would be a really hard job what with the altitude and the heat but imagine the spetacles you would see and sensations you enjoy it would be totally mind blowing. As it say not for beginners and after over 10,000ft you would know why. Any free tickets going, if so mail me, LOL
