Finding Discount Vacation Packages Online
Depending on the destination, you may be able to book well in advance and take advantage of a low, locked in rate if you are able to pay when you book. In other cases, booking at the last minute can find you a great deal, although there is always the risk of disappointment in this case. It is worth checking the prices for a booking made directly with the resort, through a travel agent, and online – sometimes the good deals come from sources you would not expect.
Most discount vacation packages will include airfare and hotel accommodations while all inclusive packages also include food and beverages. Although most of these packages require the meals and other entertainment be from participating areas, often confined within the hotel, participants are free to travel to other areas to eat and drink, usually at their own expense.
Timing Is Everything For The Best Deals
Timing is important when you are looking for a discount vacation – many resorts closer to the equator offer discounts for vacations taken during the summer, as the extreme heat means that there are fewer tourists visiting the area. Winter is a popular time for people in the northern parts of the world to take a vacation, so is often a difficult time to get a discount vacation, as demand is still high.
It is a good idea to check with a travel agent as they often have access to inside knowledge and special deals, they may also have recently had a cancellation and be willing to offer you a special deal on a vacation rather than have to sell back tickets to an airline at a poor price. Also, if you are a regular customer, they may be willing to offer you a special deal to encourage you to keep using them.

Don't forget to keep your eyes on local magazines and newspapers - in the UK a paper called The Sun runs an annual offer thing where you collect coupons to get cheap holidays - you can get a holiday at a decent resort for a tenner plus the cost of a few papers (so maybe fifteen pounds total) - you have to be flexible about when you go, but you can't get a better price anywhere else!

I like to bargain hunt the budget airlines - I keep a little saved up at all times, and when they have a sale I'll book a flight just to have some fun. Stay at a cheap Accor hotel and fly wherever the offers are.
You can get some great holidays, and some wonderful stories that way, although it sounds better if you don't tell people you saw the world discount style
