Where To Find Disney World Travel Tips

The Walt Disney World website is a great source of Disney World travel tips – it has information on attractions, hotels, scheduled entertainments, and restaurant menus.  You can even order a Walt Disney World DVD which gives you an idea of what to expect at the parks.  Since it is the official site, it is always up to date with the most current information.

There are some great travel guides available in book stores, and for order from Amazon.  They are usually updated annually with new information about hotels, ticket prices, camp grounds, attractions, and local maps.  If you are buying a book from a book store, check the publishing date first, as an out of date guide could have many inaccuracies.

There are lots of community-ran web sites which are focused on Disney World and can give you up to the minute advice on everything from saving money on day passes and tickets, to renting a condo in Orlando, or deciding what time of year to visit.  These sites can help you with reviews of hotels and attractions, tips on out of the way hotels that offer great service, and suggestions for which attractions to visit and in what order, so that you can avoid queues.  If you want impartial reviews and opinions, and suggestions from people who have visited Disney World recently, then Disney related forums are the best places to look.

If you visit regularly, look in to the passes - they can be pretty useful as they get you free meals from certain places in the parks, and access to shows too if I remember rightly.

Some people find they are a good deal, but really it depends on where you plan to eat from, and if the drinks, etc, you like are included.

I'm not sure if they still do the annual pass, but if they do, I think it's a great deal for people lucky enough to be able to take advantage of it.
