All Inclusive Travel Packages: What's In It For You?

All inclusive travel packages may sound like a great deal, but what do you really get with them?  Lots of people love to take advantage of the security and convenience that comes with getting everything you need for your trip included in one single price, but it is worth doing a little research before you book.

The term itself is not necessarily misleading as most of the all inclusive travel packages do include everything. You will have to get from your home to the airport and back again at the end of the vacation, but virtually everything else is included, including taxes and tips along the way. Of course, if you get hungry or thirsty during an airport layover, that will come out of your pocket. The all inclusive travel packages usually begin once you get on the plane.

Often an all inclusive package will include all meals and drinks while you are at the resort, although some may restrict the drinks, so, for example, hot drinks, soda, and some beers and wines are free, but other alcoholic drinks are not.  Naturally, if you choose to leave the resort then you will have to pay for your meals while you are outside.  If you spend most of your time at the resort, however, then you will save a lot of money on your vacation.

Holiday Entertainment

If you are the type that prefers to go and explore while you are on holiday, then a package with scheduled entertainment that encourages you to stay within the resort may seem a bit restrictive.

If, however, you want to just relax and let someone else do all the planning, you will enjoy the time taken by the resort owners to schedule lots of entertainment for you.  You should not get bored while at a resort, as all inclusive packages include plenty to keep you entertained.

The all inclusive travel packages offer families the opportunity to see sights and experience other cultures they may otherwise may not be able to afford. Prices for all inclusive travel packages can be reduced as much as 50 percent off the costs of booking every aspect of the trip on your own, including the price of meals and drinks.

All inclusive packages are ideal for all sizes of travel party – from single travelers to families and bigger groups of friends.  If you like, you can take an all inclusive package, then separately book tours and other activities – you will still save money over booking everything individually, and get the best of both worlds.
