Maryland Romantic Getaway: So Many Locations, So Much Variety!

The state of Maryland boast two special attributes: history and the Chesapeake Bay.  Such unique surroundings provide  numerous opportunities for couples to enjoy a Maryland romantic getaway.   Whether you plan to stay for a day or two or several days, a Maryland romantic getaway will provide a truly unique sense of  togetherness.

The great thing about Maryland romantic getaway locations is that they can be very easy to get to.  Staying at the best resorts or bed and breakfasts,  passing time near a sea-side resort or in the mountains on the eastern border of the state, these are just a few of the possibilities that exist  for couples who choose a Maryland romantic getaway.

With many Maryland romantic getaway spots located near the nation's capital, you can incorporate your trip with tours of many of the famous buildings in Washington, D.C..  After a full day of touring and sightseeing, you can then retreat to your well deserved isolation and togetherness. Maryland is ideal for newlyweds.   Planning a honeymoon at one of the many Maryland romantic getaway locations can be simple with the use of travel agent or a wedding planner who specializes in couples beginning their life together on a quiet note.

What about couples who are already married and may only want to renew their wedding vows or who just prefers to spend some much-needed time away from the rat race of daily living?  Maryland romantic getaways are ideal for those couples since the best romantic  places are close enough to reach, yet far enough away to make them unreachable.  The best of both worlds.  Cumberland and the Allegheny Mountains can offer some of the best views of nature and a walk through many of the state's parks will yield a stress-free environment in which to enjoy each other's company.

There Is Something Romantic About The Past

For an extra  special romantic getaway in Maryland, try Deep Creek Lake.  It's located on the western side of the state and offers numerous Maryland romantic getaway spots with accommodations that include bed and breakfasts as well as resort hotels. Many of the locations are situated on large farms that can remind visitors of the past history of the country. This type of Maryland romantic getaway can feature opportunities to see some of pristine country that is still in existence today.

However, the western side does not have a monopoly on romantic hotspots.  Maryland romantic getaway locations can also be found on the eastern shore, and includes fun places like Ocean City and its beaches and resorts.   Spas and golf resorts can be part of activity selections while on a romantic vacation as well as simply being together to visit some of the historical sites in the state.

One classic spot that is steeped in history and romance is the Georgian House bed and breakfast.  This bed and breakfast was built in 1747 in Annapolis, and offers some of the best historical tales that can be found on a Maryland romantic getaway. Take some time to stroll down the streets of this city, which is located in the central part of the state.  You may discover a new interest in an early time in the country's history, and have a romantic getaway as well.
