The National Zoo is best known for the endangered giant pandas, they are Tian Tian, Mei Xiang, and their cub, Tai Shan.
Another great activity for families with younger children is the National Aquarium. Visiting this attraction can be a day long activity. It has over 50 different tanks, 1000 different specimens, and nearly 200 different species. That should be enough to keep your younger kids entertained all day long. Make sure you take the kids to meet the two alligators at the aquarium known as Crunch and Munch. Washington DC’s tourism offers much more than just these attractions for young children.
