Younger kids won't be bored in Washington DC.  There are many attractions for smaller, younger children.  For example, the National Zoo is a great place to take young kids where they can enjoy themselves. The National Zoo is part of the Smithsonian and houses 2,000 individual animals and nearly 400 different species of animals. The National Zoo is best known for the endangered giant pandas, they are Tian Tian, Mei Xiang, and their cub, Tai Shan.
